Safety Policy
Safety ― Our Core Value We believe in supporting a safe work environment and ensuring the safety of all personnel to be paramount. We recognize Safety as the “prime core value” of Abraxus Construction Group LP. |
Safety is an integral part of the corporate culture of Abraxus Construction Group LP. We have a strong safety and loss prevention program that helps protect our employees, the general public, and property from accidents. In addition to this policy, our management supports the industry-wide “Guiding Principles for Worker Safety.”
Abraxus Construction Group LP ensures all employees are provided with the proper equipment, training, and safe operating procedures. We have developed and published a Health, Safety, and Loss Control Manual that includes Safe Work Practices and Procedures.
We have a standard of performance that exceeds the standard of our industry and demonstrates Abraxus’ long-term commitment to the health and safety of our employees, customers, industry, and the environment.
Our Health, Safety and Loss Control Manual includes the following:
- Providing mechanical and physical safeguards to the maximum extent possible.
- Conducting a program of safety and health inspections to find and eliminate unsafe working conditions and practices, to control health hazards, and to comply fully with the health and safety standards of every job.
- Training all employees in good safety and health practices.
- Providing necessary personal protective equipment and instruction for its use and care.
- Developing and enforcing health and safety rules and requiring the employees to cooperate with these rules as a condition of employment.
- Investigating every accident promptly and thoroughly to establish cause, correction, and prevention.
Abraxus Recognizes the Responsibilities for Shared Health and Safety:
- Abraxus Construction Group LP accepts the responsibility for leadership of the health and safety program, for its effectiveness and improvement, and for providing the safeguards required to ensure a safe working environment.
- Managers and Supervisors are responsible for providing instruction and/or direction in health and safety to those they superviseand for ensuring that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the health and safety of all involved.
- Employees are responsible for wholehearted, genuine cooperation with all aspects of the Health and Safety initiatives and programs of Abraxus Construction Group LP ― including compliance with all rules and regulations and for continually practicing safety while performing their duties.
- Contractors are required to comply with all our corporate safety initiatives, as well as industry safety policies and rules ― without exception.
