Abraxus Construction Group LP is a Corporation that is Committed to Quality Control.
The Abraxus Quality Control Department is responsible for implementing the Quality Control Program in accordance and conjunction with the governing fabrication codes and client specifications. Our QC personnel are committed to uphold the highest level of quality regarding material, fabrication, inspection and testing for all of the industrial products that Abraxus fabricates.
The Quality Control Program establishes the systems and documents needed to ensure all construction meets the requirements of ASME Section I, Section IV, Section VIII Div I, B31.1, B31.3, Pressure Fittings or Indirect / Direct Fired Process Heaters for Construction, Repair, and or Alterations.
In addition to our excellent rapport with the local authority having jurisdiction, Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA), Abraxus Construction Group LP maintains “S” (Power Boilers), “U” (Pressure Vessels), and “PP” (Power Piping) certification with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Procedures detailed in our corporate QC Manual include the following:
- PRE-JOB REVIEW - stipulating the contractual agreement, scope of work, drawings and design specifications must be reviewed prior to the acceptance of the contract
- DOCUMENT CONTROL - provides a system for the review, approval, distribution and retrieval of all essential documents, including design specifications, drawings, bills of materials, welding procedures and work instructions.
- MATERIAL CONTROL - covers the system for controlling the ordering, receiving, identification, and use of all materials in compliance with the applicable codes and design specification requirements.
- EXAMINATION PROGRAM - describes a system to verify that construction, examination and testing of piping systems meet applicable codes and client requirements.
- REPAIR AND ALTERATION OF BOILER & PRESSURE VESSELS - describes the system for controlling repairs and alterations of pressure vessels.
- WELDING- describes the system for controlling weld procedures, welders, and welder performance qualifications.
- NON-CONFORMITIES - describes a system for identifying, documenting, and resolving non-conformities found at receiving, construction, examination and / or testing.
- NON-DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION - describes the system of ensuring that non-destructive examinations are completed in compliance with the code and job specifications.
